CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

HAYMARKET PEOPLE'S FUND
FUNDING PANEL

February, 2008

Haymarket is seeking applications from community organizers interested in being part of our New England-wide Funding Panel. It's an exciting time to be a part of Haymarket, as we continue our journey of becoming an anti-racist organization. We now have one Funding Panel, made up of organizers from all over New England , working with staff to make our grants decisions and assisting with outreach and anti-racist movement building around the region.

We are committed to representation from each New England state, from rural areas as well as urban ones. We are looking for some new members:

- People who are community organizers with accountability to a community or base;

- People who organize with an anti-racist framework;

- People who can travel around the region;

- People who have the time for a 3 year commitment to Haymarket's grantmaking and organizational work!

We are especially seeking organizers who are Latino/a, Asian American, and/or Native American. We are looking for folks from RI, CT, ME and NH, as well as organizers who work on issues involving youth, immigration, prison justice and anti-militarism.

All funding panel members must attend a weekend-long orientation in September and a 2 ½ day Undoing Racism ™ Workshop if they have not already. New applicants will be considered in June, 2008. Please call Anne Richmond, Grantmaking Organizer at 617-522-7676 X113, if you have any questions.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
